About the Researcher
MARIA LOROÑO-LETURIONDO
I am originally from the Basque Country where I graduated with a BA in Public Relations (University of the Basque Country). I then moved to Copenhagen to work in a think tank for sustainability and climate change communication, and to undertake an MA in Cognition and Communication (University of Copenhagen). My MA thesis, written in collaboration with the Basque Center for Climate Change (BC3), focused on notions of effective science communication. I am now developing this PhD project at Manchester Metropolitan University, together with the following supervisory team:
Sam Illingworth - Senior Lecturer in Science Communication - Manchester Metropolitan University
Paul O'Hare - Senior Lecturer in Urban Geography and Development - Manchester Metropolitan University
Simon Cook - Lecturer in Physical Geography - University of Dundee
Stephen Hoon - Professor of Applied Science - Manchester Metropolitan University
